Meet the Expert, Archaeology: Dr. Robert Yohe VIRTUAL EVENT
Who's Your Mummy? Dr. Yohe will present basic information about the art of mummification in ancient Egypt and discuss his research in Middle Egypt at the site of Tell El-Hibeh where human mummies ranging in age from over 3,000 to 1,500 years old have been recovered.

About the Event
Dr. Yohe is an archaeologist who conducts excavations and research to learn about how humans lived in the past. Dr. Yohe will present basic information about the art of mummification in ancient Egypt and discuss his research in Middle Egypt at the site of Tell El-Hibeh where human mummies ranging in age from over 3,000 to 1,500 years old have been recovered.
Robert Yohe is currently Professor and Program Director of Anthropology & Director of the Laboratory of Archaeological Sciences at California State University, Bakersfield and Associate Director of the Egyptian Tell El-Hibeh Archaeological Project with UC Berkeley. Dr. Yohe received his Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology from California State University, San Bernardino and his Master's degree and Ph.D. in Anthropology at the University of California, Riverside. He has been involved in over 250 archaeological field projects, including dry rockshelters, prehistoric villages, lithic quarries, human burials, and various historic sites.
