Buena Vista Museum is conveniently located in downtown Bakersfield on Chester Avenue between 20th St. and 21st St. The museum is easy to access by car, public transportation or bike. The main entrance is located on the west side of the building

Free, 90 minute (no time limit Sundays) parking for the museum is available on Chester Ave. and adjacent streets. Free parking for the first two hours is also available about five blocks away in the City of Bakersfield's enclosed parking structure at 18th St. and Eye St.

The Downtown Transit Center is conveniently located only one block north of the museum and serves both Golden Empire Transit (GET) and Kern Transit.
